ALARMCLOCK ACCESSORY The Micro-Time AlarmClock accessory consists of the following files: ALARMCLK.ACC COLORCLK.RSC MONO_CLK.RSC ALARMCLK.DAT In order for the AlarmClock accessory to work properly with your monitor, you must have either the COLORCLK.RSC (for color monitors) or the MONO_CLK.RSC (for monochrome monitors) on the same disk as the ALARMCLK.ACC file. When these files are put on your boot disk, the AlarmClock accessory will be properly installed and can be selected from the Desk dropdown menu. When selected, the AlarmClock accessory will open up a window on your screen. It is divided into three parts: Corner Clock Alarms Today's Time & Date Corner Clock This will allow you to turn ON/OFF the digital clock, which will be displayed in the upper right hand corner of the screen. You also have the choice between 12 and 24 hour display format of the clock. Alarms This section will allow you to set up to 5 alarms, which can be used as reminders when you are using the computer. To set an alarm, click on an alarm number, click alarm status to ON, and set the Alarm Time & Date. Then enter in an alarm message that you want to be displayed when the alarm goes off. When an alarm goes off, a bell will sound and the alert box will open and show you your message. Pressing return will make the alert box disappear. If you are not in a GEM program, you will only hear the alarm bell. Returning to the desktop will bring up the alert box with its message. NOTE: Time, Date and _M will allow you to use the "?" character as a wild card. Here is an example: Alarm Time: ??:00:00 ?M Alarm Date: ??-??-?? In this example, an alarm would go off every hour, both AM & PM, of every day, month, and year. Today's Time & Date This section allows you to set the current Time and Date. After you are finished, click on DONE with the mouse or just press RETURN. The computer's Time & Date will now be set and your Corner Clock will be displayed, if selected ON, as well as any of your alarms. If you click on SAVE, a file will be saved to drive A or C, which will contain the current settings of the Corner Clock and the Alarms. This file, ALARMCLK.DAT will be loaded into your computer on boot up.
