PROTRACKER ST 1.3 DEMO VERSION (28th Dec. 1991) Copyright (C) Karl Anders ²ygard 1991/1992, All Rights Reserved ----------------------------------------------------------------- This is a demo copy of the soon-to-come ProTracker ST from Pandaal Marketing. The demo version pretty much outlines what the final version will include. However, a few things may change in the final release of the program. To play a demo song, click the 'DISK' button on the main menu. This will bring up the DISK menu. Click the 'LOAD MODULE' button. The fileselector should now appear on your screen. Select one of the .MOD files. The module will now be loaded. Back in the program, press Esc or click 'EXIT'. Now click 'PLAY' or press CapsLock to start playing the song. The rest you'll have to figure out yourselves... To exit Pro- Tracker ST, click the top left corner of the screen or press Alt+Q. There are a few bugs in the demo version. These have on purpose not been removed. They're all gone in the final release ;-) A few things that the final release of the program *will* feature are: - Realtime volume and pitch bending - Volume slide/Arpeggio/Vibrato/Portamento - 12.5 and 25 (!) kHz playback frequency (STE) - 12.2 and 16.3 kHz playback frequency (ST) - 64KB sample buffer - Flexible editor with powerful (!) cut and paste operations - Realtime recording/editing - Polyphonic Midi support with realtime recording and touch control - Graphical easy to use sampleeditor software (cut/paste/reverse/fade/boost/echo/mix) and sampler with support for the most used samplers - Edit up to 32 songs simultaneously ProTracker ST will run on any Atari ST/Mega/STE/TT computer with a colour monitor in low resolution. Also enclosed with ProTracker ST are replay sources that allow you to use the music in your own programs. ProTracker ST is the product of more than one year of hard work. When we started writing ProTracker ST, we had not expected it to take this much time to finish it off, but as time went by it kind of got out of hand and grew a lot more complex than we had expected. The result is a program that excels in almost every way. Was it worth it? With regards to the program, yes. With regards to our economy, I doubt it. *You* are the ones to decide whether or not we should continue to write quality software for the ST.
